A series of videos has been produced raising awareness of the risk posed by the African swine fever virus, which is currently spreading in a number of European countries and was recently found as close as Belgium.
Featuring the Animal and Plant Health Agency’s (APHA) Susanna Williamson, NPA chief executive Zoe Davies, the British Pig Association’s Michaela Giles and Linda Dixon, of the Pirbright Institute, they can be found on APHA’s YouTube channel.
The videos and accompanying graphics and messages will be promoted on social media in the run up to and beyond the festive period.
