The NPA has launched a new website, which will deliverĀ an improved service to members, while also providing a more modern and accessible insight into the association and the pig industry for the wider world.
The new website contains all the most popular features of the previous site, including a regularly updated news section, the Membersā Area, the Forum and the Trade Directory, as well as briefings and guidance, and some new ones, including an in-depth hot topics section, a comprehensive āAbout Usā section and dedicated areas for YNPA and vet student placements.
It has a new URL ā www.nationalpigassociation.co.uk. However, the old URL will be redirected to the new site for a period of time too.
NPA Members will need to register and set their own password for access to the membersā area. Allied members will also be able to create a new Trade Directory listing when setting up their members area log in, which can then be managed from their profile. All members will be sent a link to set up their log in.
Modern site
NPA chief executive Lizzie Wilson said: āWe are really excited to be able to launch our new website ā and we hope you like it.
āWe set out to modernise our website, which we all acknowledge had become outdated and didnāt deliver the functionality we needed, with something that looks good, is easy to use, contains all the updates and information our members need and presents the pig industry in best possible light to policymakers, the supply chain, the media and the general public. And it has the ability to evolve and grow, as we do.ā
The new website and accompanying rebranding was developed by Coventry-based company Parallel Creative, following a competitive tender process.
The project has been driven by office manager Andrea Tranter, who said: āItās been a long-time coming, but I, personally, am very excited and I think itās going to make a big difference in how we communicate our key messages to members and the public.ā
